The very "backbone" of Bay Star Ambulance Service are our employees! They are who we are and they are the very reason Bay Star is as successful as it is today. From the medics to our dispatch and our billing personnel, Bay Star is here for them. We feel it is our obligation to ensure our employees are treated fairly and respected as professionals, just as we believe they are.

EMTs & Paramedics

The shifts we have at Bay Star for our medics are either 12hr or 24hr shifts and are according to availability and seniority. Every 6 months all medics go through a shift bid process where based on seniority, they can choose their shift, station and partner. This concept works best for those planning on attending school, baby-sitting issues or who simply want to be home with their families on weekends.

We have offices in Baytown, Pasadena, Webster and Houston. These offices include 24-hour, 12 hr day, evenings, weekends and holiday shifts, which are available. Extra shifts are always available due to call offs, long distance transports, special events, and extra units being added.

We provide sleeping quarters at all of our offices for our 24-hour crews. Each office includes crew friendly features such as kitchen facilities, televisions, Satellite cable, VCR, DVD players, and High Speed Internet access. We want every wheelchair driver and medic to relax and be comfortable when they are not running calls.

Every night all ambulances and wheelchair vans are cleaned (come on, you still gotta wash the outside) and restocked above state and local requirements. So, when our medics come into work, they will have the confidence that their unit is clean and ready to go. We want our employees to be treated like a professional at Bay Star.

We want everyone to enjoy coming to work, without the "politics". Having owners that are paramedics themselves they understand the life of EMS and had all of the complaints that everyone else did when working for a private provider. Bay Star is everything but a typical private ambulance company. Charles and Kelly truly want their employees to be happy and to succeed. They tell their employees daily that if they succeed then Bay Star will succeed. It seems to be working so far.
